Westminster was a casualty from Christchurch’s earthquakes. It was left unloved and was on the verge of getting a visit from the demo team.

However with so many homes and buildings being given up on, this became a passion project.

This home was extensively renovated and brought up to current code. We endeavoured to maintain and replicate aspects of the stunning character that Edwardian homes hold but made it warm, functional and tastefully modern.

It also required repositioning onsite, a high lift and also a full foundation and sub floor replacement.

The layout was changed creating a far more useable space. Keeping a focus on creating sun soaked, light spaces utilising the original leadlight windows to combat the way bungalows normally are.

No stone was left unturned with this project.
